Economy Design

 

Whilst working for PolyFruit Studios, we worked on a live service game that ultimately didn’t go gold. However, the economy outline for the game is available from the link below. I was in this role for a couple of months before I moved into a more production-based role. The first tab is fully interactive for anybody, it was designed for designers to plan out level progression based on units in the level and other factors.

During these papers, I will examine the effects the games as a service model is having on AAA game development. I observe their effects on the industry, public perception, and alternative, more sustainable monetisation options.
